Welcome to the Powder Flow and Powder Rheology
PCIG is excited to announce the upcoming Powder Flow and Powder Rheology event, scheduled for June 10, 2025, at the Royal Society of Chemistry, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London.
The results of many industrial processes such as tabletting depend on the flow of material. Many industries such as batteries, ceramics, 3D printing and pharmaceutics rely on an understanding of powder flow and powder mechanics to optimise the production process. The size, shape, porosity and charge of powders all play a part in influencing how a material flows. In recent years a variety of instruments for measuring the powder flow have become available enabling better process understanding.
The RSC Particle Characterisation interest group invites you to a one day training meeting in powder flow where you will learn more about the fundamentals of powder mechanics, the instrumentation available to aid in characterising the flow of your material and case studies where this equipment has been used to gain a deeper understanding of a product.
